A Visit to Byron Growers:
- Check-In: Upon arrival, visitors must check in at a designated area where they may receive instructions, equipment (such as baskets or containers), and possibly sign waivers.
- Respect the Crop: Visitors should be instructed to only pick ripe produce and to handle crops gently to minimize damage to plants and fruit.
- Stay in Designated Areas: Visitors should only pick produce from designated areas and stay on marked paths to avoid damaging plants or trampling crops.
- Supervision of Children: Children should be supervised at all times to ensure they follow the rules and do not damage crops.
- No Eating in the Fields: Consumption of produce in the fields may not be allowed to prevent damage or loss of inventory. Visitors may be allowed to sample fruits or vegetables at designated areas.
- No Wastage: Visitors should be encouraged to only pick what they intend to purchase and to minimize waste.
- No Pets: For sanitation and safety reasons, pets may not be allowed on the farm premises.
- Respect Wildlife: Visitors should be instructed not to disturb wildlife that may inhabit the farm.
- Dispose of Trash Properly: Provide designated bins for visitors to dispose of any trash and encourage them to leave the farm as they found it.
- Weather Conditions: Depending on the farm's policies, adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or thunderstorms may necessitate closure for safety reasons.
- Hours of Operation: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Payment: Cash, Card, Zelle and Venmo accepted. Strawberries are weighed by the pound to purchase.
